I Have Been Arrested
So what's next?
As you know from my last post where I humbly asked for forgiveness for being part of a dispensational deception, I wanted to give you more context regarding how my awakening from this deception occurred and how it has turned me more towards Christ.
Firstly, Scripture cannot contradict itself. I know God never changes, but it is me who changes. If Christ is in us, how can this be?
Romans 7:19-25 NKJV For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. (20) Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. (21) I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. (22) For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. (23) But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. (24) O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? (25) I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.
I have an excellent history of grabbing onto shiny objects Satan places in my path, the latest being dispensationalism, even at what I consider to be my most spiritually awake period of life to date. I am a work in progress but dedicated to worshipping in spirit and truth.
Anything you put between yourself and Christ is a sin. Doctrines of well-meaning and not-so-well-meaning men have plagued Christianity since the Apostolic church commenced at Pentecost (Acts 2).
I am currently teaching Revelation to a men’s group at my church. We meet on Thursday mornings at 6 am, and two weeks ago I commented on the rider of the white horse in Revelation 6, the breaking of the first seal. A group member commented that there were two white horses in Revelation, one in Chapter 19 and one in Chapter 6, with two different riders. “Revelation 6 was the antichrist and Revelation 19 was Jesus,” he said to which I duly agreed. But the Holy Spirit arrested me.
“Are you sure?” He said to me silently but audibly.
I said nothing immediately, but I know when God asks me a question, He is not looking for information.
Teaching is one of the roles with the most responsibility in the Church. As a gifted and passionate teacher of God’s Word, remaining teachable is mandatory for all who accept this mantle.
YAH arrested me because He did not want these men to be deceived. He wanted me to stop and rethink based on correct scriptural interpretation.
I thought I was “correct”.
Here is the lesson for all of us.
What does the text say? What is the context of the text? Who is the author writing to? What is the message of the author? What is the cultural context? What is the genre of the text (prophetic, narrative, a rebuke perhaps, or a combination)?
Biblical authors did not have movie cameras. They only had text, so they weaved their God-inspired stories into text.
I returned to the Book of Daniel, the source of much of Apostle John’s imagery in Revelation, to re-look at the 70-week prophecy of Daniel 9 with fresh eyes, the eyes of a born-again indwelt believer with a clean slate without pre-suppositions. Dispensationalists believe that the 70th Week of Daniel 9 is yet unfulfilled.
Daniel 9:24-27 NKJV "Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy. (25) "Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times. (26) "And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined. (27) Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate."
The Seventy Weeks
Here is the biblical precedent for interpreting the 70 Weeks as weeks of years:
Ezekiel 4:5-6 NKJV For I have laid on you the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days; so you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. (6) And when you have completed them, lie again on your right side; then you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days. I have laid on you a day for each year.
Who Is This Prophecy About?
Yes, I know. It is Israel. But look at the statements in V24. Why did YAH introduce Yeshua into the Biblical Narrative?
To finish the transgression,
To make an end of sins,
To make reconciliation for iniquity,
To bring in everlasting righteousness,
To seal up vision and prophecy,
And to anoint the Most Holy.
The prophecy is about Yahusha, Yeshua, Jesus, the Son of God, the Word in the flesh.
What does this mean spiritually?
John 4:21-24 NKJV Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. (22) You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. (23) But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. (24) God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
What does “worship in spirit and truth” mean?
The Samaritans worshiped on the mountain and the Jews worshipped in the Temple in Jerusalem. So where are we worshipping under the New Covenant?
From the indwelling Christ.
The Temple has moved to each individual with no intermediary.
Why was the curtain of the Temple torn when Yeshua died on the Cross at Calvary?
Access to the Holy of Holies was now for ALL people, Jew or Greek, not just the High Priest.
You MUST get this! When you truly see it, you will never unsee it!
It sets up everything YAH has laid on my heart to teach from now on!
Matthew 9:17 NKJV Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved."
What does the old wineskin represent?
The Temple at Jerusalem.
What does the new wine represent?
The Holy Spirit.
What does the new wineskin represent?
US!
Every born-again believer is a new wineskin (the new Temple) with a new heart of flesh sprinkled with the holy water of forgiveness (John 3).
Hallelujah!
1 Corinthians 6:19 NKJV Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
What did Paul mean by “you are not your own”?
You are now a slave to Christ, not to the flesh. This is spiritual slavery; a will subject totally to Christ, paid for BY Christ at Calvary.
This process renews your mind all by itself. You do not participate. You do not have to do anything but submit to Jesus In You. His timing!
You will receive spiritual ears and spiritual eyes. You will have a passion for the Word. Spiritual meanings of prophecy and parables will become clearer over time. Piece by piece, the puzzle of your role in the Kingdom will be clarified.
Can you see what I have done above in all the bible verses?
I have used the New Testament to interpret the Old.
This is the new wineskin. What happens to the old wineskin (the Old Testament)? It is the root of the New, but the vine is the new growth of Yeshua, the Christ.
John 15:1-5 NKJV "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. (2) Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. (3) You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. (4) Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. (5) "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
One of the major errors of scriptural interpretation is using the Old Testament to explain the New. This is ripe in Evangelical circles, particularly the Christian Zionist and Dispensational paradigms.
The Abrahamic Covenant is DEAD! RIP!
We now eat the flesh and drink the blood of Yeshua.
Matthew 21:19 NKJV And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, "Let no fruit grow on you EVER AGAIN (caps mine)." Immediately the fig tree withered away.
Matthew 23:37-39 NKJV "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! (38) See! Your house is left to you desolate; (39) for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, 'BLESSED is HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!' "
As I pointed out in my previous article, the fig tree represents the Abrahamic Covenant with Israel.
Let us understand that YAH has had no special place for Israel since the Temple in Jerusalem was wiped away in the flood (the Roman war machine that left no stone on another in 70AD). YAH granted Israel 40 years (the number of days in years Yeshua walked the Earth after His resurrection) from the crucifixion of Yeshua to repent before final judgment in 70AD. There is that magic number of 40 again. Israel is an apostate nation, just like all its enemies. It does not recognize Yeshua as their Messiah. We have allowed Satan to infiltrate our minds with Zionism to take our focus away from Christ.
But what about the 144,000 sealed in Revelation 7?
It is allegorical, not literal. It is a prophecy, not a narrative. They represent the sealing of ALL saints, the born-again believers still alive with their names written in the Book of Life.
Remember the blood of the firstborn lamb on the lintels in Exodus? The sealing of believers at the end is the same.
What about the Rapture? The Saints are raptured to heaven before the Tribulation eh?
Maybe, but unlikely. More to come on this.
Has the Church not been in Tribulation since the Apostolic Church of the first century? Remember the Letter to Smyrna, the period of martyrdom? Remember the slaughter of anyone disagreeing with the Pope? What about the martyrdom in many African countries today, right under our noses? Is this not tribulation?
Where are we today?
Laodicea, the lukewarm wealthy church.
I can hear the rush for the Unsubscribe button.
Truth is truth, even if no one believes it! A lie is a lie, even if everyone believes it! ANON.
Oh, what a gracious and loving God we have! He calms the storms, gives manna in the wilderness, and provides THE way.
Let us all worship our Savior, who has made us Priests in His Kingdom!
AMEN.
I will return to the exegesis of Daniel 9:24-27, the 70 Weeks Prophecy, next time. Sorry, got carried away!
Your Kingdom Priest (Rev 1:6)

I never could understand why so many split off the 70th week from the 69th week, when they all go together as one continuous period of time.
And as I have looked at those 70 week charts, I have seen tacked on to the beginning of the 70th week, the non-Biblical teaching of a secret rapture. Many have been so misled by this teaching. The Bible teaches there is only one "ride" to heaven, and that is when Jesus returns, and the righteous living WITH the resurrected righteous, meet Jesus in the air, and return to heaven with Him.
I'm excited for you and will be watching for your future posts!
Thank you…your insight is greatly appreciated.
Scripture is often ‘thick and inscrutable’, it is a joy to have someone with INSIGHT to decode it.
JOG…Many Thanks.
